Evotinction Review – Hackneyed

You’re Doctor Thomas Liu, there’s a spherical Genie known as 0z (with a number zero, not an “O”, mind you), and a powerful virus called RED has spread through the operating system MORE in HERE. Don’t ask where it came from – neither Liu nor 0z know. Get out there and fix it while the script continues racing 60 words per minute. The remaining Genies in the facility have been compromised, and you have to use hacks and an E-Blaster and go on to synthesize a serum to counteract RED…

At this point, the story went past in media res and made me believe I missed a significant chunk of the game, but no, this is how Spikewave Games’ Evotinction kicks off. Looking back, a lot of it feels like a blur, and while you gr…

Sterling contract talks yet to start

Raheem Sterling is yet to open talks over a new deal at Manchester City, according to the Mail Online.

The England international is having the season of his life, already having double his goal tally for the whole of last season with twenty in all competitions.

His current deal, which is worth £180k per week is set to expire in the summer of 2020 and a host of heavy hitters are monitoring the situation with negotiations yet to begin.

Since signing from Liverpool in the summer of 2015, Sterling has racked up one hundred and twenty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring forty-one times.

He won the EFL Cup in his first season with the Citizens though missed Sunday’s victory over Arsenal in the final of the same competition through injury.

Van Dijk: Netherlands have to look at ourselves in the mirror after Belarus close call

Virgil van Dijk admitted Netherlands were out of sorts in Belarus after they relied on the brilliance of Georginio Wijnaldum to secure a narrow victory.

The 2-1 success in Minsk puts Netherlands on the brink of qualifying for Euro 2020, ending the team s recent exile from major tournament football.

After missing out on Euro 2016 and last year s World Cup, Netherlands finally appear to have got their act together under coach Ronald Koeman s leadership.

Van Dijk s Liverpool team-mate Wijnaldum scored both goals for the Dutch, heading in a clinical opener before thundering in a long-range strike to give the visitors a 2-0 half-time cushion.

Wijnaldum later said his second of the night was by far the best of the 15 goals he has netted for his country.

Leicester City 1 Sheffield United 0: Vardy header secures quarter-final spot

Leicester City booked their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 2012 thanks to a 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Friday.

Jamie Vardy scored the only goal of the game at the King Power Stadium, as his looping header over goalkeeper Jamal Blackman in the 66th minute settled a hard-fought tie.

Riyad Mahrez provided the assist on his first start for the Premier League side since January 20, the winger s deep cross setting up his unmarked team-mate at the back post.

Yet the hosts needed a moment of excellence from Kasper Schmiechel to deny Sheffield United an equaliser, the goalkeeper stretching low to his left to keep out a first-time effort from George Baldock that looked destined to find the corner of the goal.

Instead, Vardy…

Tottenham 5 Bournemouth 0: Spurs go second with free-scoring victory

Tottenham s festive goal glut continued on Boxing Day as they cruised to a 5-0 Premier League win against Bournemouth that sends them above Manchester City into second.

Having given Everton a nightmare before Christmas in a 6-2 victory at Goodison Park on Sunday, three first-half goals laid the foundations for another convincing triumph.

Kyle Walker-Peters seemingly still had some presents to hand out as he provided the assists for Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura to find the net before the break.

Harry Kane and Son then made it five after the interval for a victory that lifts Spurs a point clear of floundering City.

Spurs looked lively in the opening stages but it was Bournemouth who had the first clear-cut opportunities to break the de…

Roma not signing Smalling permanently?

According to a recent report from over in Italy, Roma are unlikely to take part in a permanent deal for Chris Smalling due to Manchester United’s asking price. The Englishman really did hit the ground running when he made his way over to Italy, instantly embedding himself as a regular within Roma’s starting XI.

Ever since then the expectation has been that Roma would try and sign him on a permanent basis, despite many believing that his instinct was to go back to United and try to break back into the first team over there.

Now, United may well be pricing Roma out of the deal altogether. It makes sense for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try and bring him back to the club as he’d still be one of his better options, but you have to wonder whether or not the Norwegian …

Bonera proud of Ibra-less Milan despite frustrating draw with Lille

Daniele Bonera felt Milan showed their team spirit is strong even without Zlatan Ibrahimovic after their Europa League draw with Lille on Thursday.

The Rossoneri took the lead in France through Samu Castillejo but were pegged back through a goal from Jonathan Bamba 19 minutes later.

The Serie A leaders, beaten 3-0 by Lille in the previous Group H game, restricted the hosts to just 42 per cent of the ball only to concede from their only shot on target of the second half.

Similarly, Milan found the net with their one effort on goal in the 90 minutes, as the absence of the injured Ibrahimovic appeared to take its toll.

The 39-year-old, who sustained a hamstring injury after scoring a double in the 3-1 win at Napoli, has scored 12 goals in as many games in a…

How to behave during Euro 2008, by Austria´s etiquette guru

Dignity and restraint, even in the wake of a scintillating victory or a disastrous loss, are essential during Euro 2008, says Austria s etiquette guru Thomas Schaefer-Elmayer.

The director of the prestigious Elmayer dance school, which prepares dozens of debutantes annually for the traditional Viennese Opera Ball, has laid down ten rules on how to behave during the Euro.

And dress is of course a primary concern, he says, noting that it is no longer necessary for men to wear a tie to the stadium, as was the custom up until the 1960s.

Today, casual attire is enough, he told the daily Die Presse.

But of course, one must come clothed to the stadium, even on hot days. Arriving only in swimming trunks or bare-chested is not appropriate, he said.

New Orleans Saints Odds, Predictions, and Betting Preview 2022: A New Dawn in the Big Easy

With Drew Brees jumping into the red-hot pickleball space and retired head coach Sean Payton putting his feet up (before picking out homes in Dallas), no one would have blamed the New Orleans Saints for tearing down the Mardi Gras float in 2022.
